HISTORY LECTURE
YOU’RE INVITED! The Monclova Historical Foundation invites you to join us on Wednesday, January 24th at 7:00pm for our next History Lecture – “Memories of the Monclova Area & Anthony Wayne School” featuring Kay Schaller Sergent.
Some further information on Kay Schaller Sergent:
- Graduated: Anthony Wayne 1956
- Attended: Ohio University
- Graduated: Owens Technical College with an Associates Degree in Applied Business
- Director: Community Services-working with BGSU students who volunteered to tutor children, mentor adjudicated youth, helped special needs adults, visited the elderly.
- Founded: Wood County Literacy Council – teaching illiterate adults and teaching English to BGSU foreign students.
- Founder: Living History Program – Wood County Historical Society
- Award: Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Citizen
- Award: Inducted into Anthony Wayne Hall of Fame
The lecture will take place at the Monclova Community Center (Ottawa Room) located at 8115 Monclova Road – just 3 miles West of St. Luke’s Hospital. Admission and parking are FREE. An elevator is located at the west entrance to the building. Hope to see you there!
