Tana Johnoff is a local artist and teacher. She has been an active member of the Toledo art community for over 20 years. In addition to creating paintings, fiber accessories and jewelry for sale and consignment, she teaches full time for Toledo Public Schools. Her works can often be seen in a variety of juried and non-juried art exhibits, and she has been featured in the Toledo City Paper and The Mirror. 

She is one of the founding artist members of the Art in Commercial and Public Spaces Collective.  Since moving her studio from Whitehouse to MCC this fall, she has been busy with holiday shows, but is  preparing to launch classes for students k-adult in January of 2023. Class ideas include drawing, painting, needle felting, macramé, paper mache, silk dying, purse and jewelry making, and so much  more!

John Michael has over 15 years experience teaching children and has also taught adults of all ages. He offers classes in electric guitar, acoustic guitar and ukulele. Whatever style of music you enjoy – your lesson plan will be tailored to fit your area of interest. If you’ve never played a musical instrument or if you want to improve your current skills, John Michael will design a program just for you.

Step-By-Step Dance studio, located inside the Monclova Community Center offers dance classes for children 2 1/2 and up. We specialize in youth movement, rhythm, and dance.  With several different class options, Step By Step Dance Studio offers a fun and exciting environment for all ages!

Lauren Sells opened step-By-Step Dance Studio in 2007.  Lauren attended The University of Toledo and received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  Having such a love for dance and children Lauren opened Step-By-Step.  Using her degree in education and dance experience she strives to create a developmentally appropriate, safe and fun environment for all students.  For more information on the studio, classes offered, or to try a class please call 419-343-4318.
